While not exactly PHP-related news, I wish someone had told me about this all-embracing messaging client earlier. Trillian really does solve the problem of having friends on AOL, MSN, Yahoo, ICQ … each one of course refusing to switch to the one you use. At first I discovered Omni, the competition, but on my Windows 2000 machine this crashed so often as to be unusable. Also, for some reason, it couldn’t handle Yahoo. Give Trillian a try, save yourself a few gray hairs.

I have to take this back, 1 month down the road I\’d have to say trillian is more or less unusable, at least on Win2k. Either the goes into a half-cocked mode after a few minutes use where your mouse pointer disappears if it goes over the trillian window, or else it just starts hanging and hogging CPU resources. I\’m back on msn

gosh, one month down the road I wish I\’d found trillian earlier! I use it to monitor 2 x msn identities, 1 AIM and 1 ICQ.
Now I\’m trying to find a tool to let user\’s who don\’t have IM use a \"guest\" identity which I control to chat to me via my website. Could use any of those 3 technologies. Any leads?
Oh, yeah, and I\’ve had it loaded on 2 win2k PC\’s with no problems.
