At work we use MyODBC 2.50.39.00 to connect MySQL 3.23 on a linux server to Win98 and Win2k clients - seems to work no problem. At home I use the same driver to connect MySQL to Office2k both on a Win2k setup and that also works fine.

We had one chap who couldn\'t connect but it turned out to be a dll conflict on his Win98 machine. Only trick to watch out for is not to connect as \'root\' which seems to be the popular choice. We setup a \'nobody\' user and things went fine from then on.
